The series "Gordian Knot" explores the way capitalism shapes culture.

The "Gordian Knot" often serves as a metaphor for an intractable problem. By incorporating the softness, semi-transparency, and mesh-like qualities of chiffon fabric into my photography, I am bringing a new perspective to classic portraiture photography and responding to the questions that have always haunted me: What pushes us away from pursuing our dream? What is the American dream we believe in now? What should we sacrifice to live a good life? What is a good life?
